The sweet lady at the front was so nice and patient with my questions over the phone and in person! I really appreciate Johnnie helping me with all of the cardboard boxes, too. Wonderful staff and very quick process.

Free...well, technically local taxes were raised, but free.
Why don't the landfill put a post up saying if they are open before a holiday.it just says it may affect hours..why not make it clear? It would cut down on phones calls.We have no local paper for info.

It's closed on all holidays I would imagine as it is a Levy County facility. If the post office is closed, then assume that the dump is too.
Did the Levy county $116 land fill assessment pass, is dumping free now to residents of Levy county?

If you currently pay taxes on your residential property then yes household garbage is free to dispose of at the landfill.
Make sure they are put into a heavy duty plastic container, preferably a sharps container. They are also accepted at local hospitals, doctor's offices and pharmacies. If you do not have a sharps container I would ask your pharmacist or endocrinologist how to get some for free. A laundry detergent container should be good otherwise.
