Fun place to go and enjoy nature whenever you can. If you're walking on trails be sure to spray yourself for ticks as they are quite thick out there. Excellent fishing spots, plenty of places to picnic and relax, and even a spot to take a dip and cool off.

It’s a beautiful park with boating access, it’s also a great place to fly drones, Quadcopters. The Rangers are very nice and professional. The scenery has such beauty. You’ll have the ability to capture gorgeous and breathtaking images. Sky-high Productions llc

The weather of the day I visited was perfect for walking the trails, though I wasn't able to get to all of them. Very pretty setting. I'd be very excited to return during autumn.

Very nice Campground. Some of the sites have steep hillside terrain. At some of the fire pits it can be difficult to sit around the fire without tipping your chair over.

The swim beach is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are also swim coves with floating docks. Inquire at the marina for more info + maps!
Yes, it might take some trekking to find them since I'm sure the locals know the honey holes but it could be worth it to try.
No, illegal, but you can use them in Macon at Long Branch.
There are fire pits with grills at each cabin and campsite.
They do open it up for special hunting day for herd control but you must sign up for it when they do that. Otherwise, no hunting.
I was just there for food and drinks
Yes most likely. They have 2 campgrounds. Campground 1 is pretty big but will close for the season soon.
Call the marina. It is listed if you Google Thousand Hills. I am a frequent visitor, not an employee.
Not sure on the fish, but yes there is a boat ramp
Yes there are electric. There are water hydrants every so often if you're lucky you can park close to one and use it to fill up your tank. The drain your sewer there's one drain spot the most people use it on their way out.
Thousand Hill restaurant is open normal evening hours in fall. The last I knew they use to close in Jan & Feb for a few weeks but since under new Mgmt not sure if they still close after Christmas holidays. But they are open for dinner in fall.
Yes
2pm
Like Yusuf says, I have seen several tents in the campgrounds. Campground 2 has a walking path to the beach, Marina and restaurant.
No dogs allowed on the beach
Yes to bass boats.
I think, it's open today for the last day, but I'm not 100% sure
Maybe 14 not to sure I think anyone should be able to use any water vessel of anykind
I don't know. Look up the numbers for there and call. There is a little shop the rentals go through I think.
Its a mix but most lots have pleanty of space. Their are a few that are close. Most lots have mature trees and provide a decent amount of shade.
Not on the trails. Bikes and hiking only
Day before. Can call or reserve online
No no local wood. Try to gather wood around the campsite of which you are around.
Ummm I think they lock the gate to the beach at 8 the rest of the area os open until 10
They are set up like a hotel room with two double or queen beds. There is some etra floor space, but that size group would not be comfortable. You can rent both sides of the cabin, and probably make something more workable. The bathrooms are also quite small.
I'm sure it's probably allowed, but there are no specific horseback riding facilities, nor horses on the premises.
Yes they charge for both. It's cheaper to go u and get it. But to guarantee your spot it's best to do it online.
