Worst customer service I have ever received, I can not believe how this business functions with such poor systems and communication. I sat on hold for 3.5 hours before being told they couldn't check me in because the staff went home. I will never consider staying here again or recommend it to anyone else. I then had to find another hotel at 9pm in NYC which cost me additional travel charges and more importantly soo much more time. Completely outrageous service.

Things you need to know about The Arches: Cons 1)The roof is only open 3 months per year 2)They charge $100/month to use the bike room which is no more than a cage in the garage 3)Hotel guests are allowed to use the amenities and we have section 8 people here 4)An Urgent Care center is opening downstairs which most tenants aren't very exited about. 5)Many people are leaving after the 1st year is up...Its a fair deal with initial discounts but after that there are much better options. 6)135th is a one-way street (and is the wrong way coming in from Manhattan) making this place annoying to get to by car. If coming in from the city you can get as close as 2 blocks away but to actually get to the building it takes an additional 10 minutes. The attached map from Google maps says 7 minutes but there is almost always traffic along the way. 7)The only grills that were ever turned on were those on the south tower and work < 50% of the time. Extremely annoying when you pack up stuff for cooking out and they won't turn on. Pros 1)I generally don't hear my neighbors either because the surrounding apartments are vacant or the walls/floors are well constructed. 2)Doorman are great. 3)The few times I have had maintenance issued they were resolved promptly.
