This is very good nursery if you want big bare-root trees, esp. large apple trees on standard root stock. Of the 34 trees I purchased, 33 established successfully. The apples and plums grew very vigorously. The Sweet Sixteen and Wodarz apples really showed impressive growth and had an approx. 2-inch diameter trunk and were about 8 feet tall going into the fall. The pears were a bit slow to break dormancy and were a bit less vigorous but also did well. I live over 5 hours away, and David was very flexible in scheduling pick-up times. It was a pleasure working with Gilby's.

Most expensive apple's I've ever bought. Some were good and some were soft soft. Flavor over all was better than store bought apple's. Pumpkin's of all kinds, what neat way to make a fall time income. Cash cash cash good job folk's

Our family visited Gilby's last weekend, and we had an absolute blast! Our kids (almost 2 and almost 3) had the time of our lives. We strolled around, fed the chickens, climbed on the hay bales, and took lots of pictures with their cute photo ops while waiting for our hayride. The hayride was really fun and everyone was super friendly. The grounds are just gorgeous, and it's big enough without being too overwhelming for the little ones. We bought a bag of First Kiss apples, which we were thrilled to get our hands on, and they are absolutely delicious. We also got their caramel-topped apple slices, and those were great too. They have samples of their different apples in the main building, so we got to eat some samples too. We didn't try the corn maze or apple blaster since our kids are so young, but those looked like fun too. They had a food truck outside with burgers, fries, etc. along with some nice picnic tables to sit at. We didn't eat there, but it looked fun. We had a really great time, and hope to be back soon!

This was alright. I do love their apples. The maze was probably made for very young children. You could see over the top to find your way.
