Dr. Elshafei seems like a decent enough guy but his office and computer system are a complete disaster. He overbooks himself to the nth degree, which is fine if I get what I need at the end. Unfortunately the last time the pharmacies simply were not receiving prescriptions. I tried multiple pharmacies and the result was always the same. The last time I called the office the woman suggested it must be something I was doing wrong, but what part does the patient have in transmitting the prescription electronically? Absolutely none. It’s a shame because ElShafei is the only psychiatrist locally who accepts new patients and Medicaid. Too bad.

I'm giving this office 1 star because Dr. Ashraf is knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. Unfortunately, I'm convinced that his office staff goes out of their way to make patients miserable! Hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had... I relocated to another state recently. I've reached out to both the Brooklyn and Queens office via fax, text and phone, requesting my medical records and I still have not had the opportunity to speak with a human that can help me with this request. It's been almost a month now. At this point, I'm convinced that I need to send a bat-signal directly to Dr. Ashraf to get some assistance.

Let me be clear, I haven't even met the doctor due to the incompetence of the front desk that doesn't make appointments, doesn't do callbacks, doesn't even know when is the doctors next available appointment, doesn't know what's ADD ... I mean Dr. Ashraf find better staff this could be the reason why your new patients are going elsewhere .
