Enjoyed the family reunion festivities of friends, held at the Pavillion. The area was large with enough seating for the crowd. The bathrooms were close by.

Great state park! Dogs allowed. Went tent camping at the primitive site and loved it. At the end of April only one other group in that area so nice and quiet and lots of space between us. No swimming in the lake before Memorial Day and the bathhouse in the primitive area is also locked until then but water is available and only a short walk to other facilities. We were able to kayak and paddle board, only a few boats were on the water this time of year too! There’s a little beach near the primitive area so I imagine it could be loud during the regular season. Small shop at the entrance if you need to get fire wood or other essentials. Definitely will go back!

Older park, facilities showing age. Difficult staff, and plenty of rules, more than usual for a state park. No fire rings. We don’t plan to come back.

This is a great place to Kayak and picnic. Plenty of spots with tables. The lady at the entrance was so nice and the bathrooms were clean. They had people working the grounds and spraying down the bathrooms. Plenty of TP and smelled good… not like most park restrooms. We will definitely be going back!

Yes. Only 3. With a hunting license it's only 50 a night.

Agreed. Be prepared to help youngsters and be patient.
There was someone there when we went. But most state parks have the kiosk stands set up when no one is there.
It is safe to swim but like any other lake you go to there's always going to be alligators somewhere, now I've been going for years now and I haven't seen an alligator in or around the swim area
They have full hook up and they're about an hour or so from Natchez
