This is by far one of the hidden gems of the state. I have been coming here for over 35 years with my family. There is great fishing, great camping, swimming, playgrounds, a splash pad, pavilions, and cabins. My kids LOVE coming here every summer and making memories just as I did when I was a kid with my folks. There are great hiking trails, and also disc golf if that’s your thing. The park is always super clean and well kept. If you want outdoor fun and place to make memories, this place is a must. Also, you can bring your golf cart now and ride it around! Support this place so it will be here for years to come, it’s worth it.

We stayed in the new TENTRR campsites. We had the best time. We fished, hiked, played, and spent quality family time together! Can’t wait to go back! PS, I stayed at Clarko almost 40 years ago with my grandparents in their camper. I have such fond memories of those times. I loved sharing it with my boys!

Great place that is nice and secluded. Not the best reception for our cell phones (ATT) but that is okay. Clean restrooms. Pad was a little uneven but easily overcame that with the trailer jacks.

5 stars for hiking trails. The camper spot pads need to be upgraded. This is true of many camper parks. All said this is a beautiful park and we enjoyed our stay here. Very nice staff. We did learn during our visit that they are improving the camper sites! So happy to hear this!

Absolutely! Legally, service animals are welcome anywhere as long as they are in service and with papers. Anywhere. That is your right. "Pets" are also allowed on a leash. As Far as a service animal being on a leash, im gonna say yes, but you can check.
Yes there is
As long as that site doesn't have a reservation already. If it does, they may ask you to move to another site
Yes there is. It's a very nice place to go and really nice people 😊
Yes and depending on the time of year you'll need to reserve the pavilion up to a year in advance
If I'm not mistaken its only like $2.00 per car
Easy at the designated swimming area. Also area at the dock.
Yes, you would have to call them and see how much it is annually
Check the website I think it is about 100 a night but it is 2 bedroom 1 bath and kitchen and dining room
No. But there is a Walmart not too far away
Yes you just have to call the camp office upon arrival to see what sites are available
Yes they are
Fishing is decent. I know there's catfish, but my brother-in-law said there's bass as well.
Yes ma'am
Yes there is but dont know how many
Take note that the lake is called Alligator Lake and used by alligator hunters late summer.
You can pray in your car outside the gate
They did the last tine i was there but you should call ahead to check.
Yes and we loved our stay
I don't remember them closing that gate in years. The office closes but the gate will be open to overnight guests 24/7.
There is a map at the front gate that you can get that has all the trails and the length of each.
$4.00 is the entrance fee per car. Have fun!
You should call to confirm that. The ranger makes his rounds well before 10PM.
Yes, they do. All Mississippi state parks do in the camping areas, too my knowledge, that have those facilities.
Service animals are allowed everywhere. Pets are allowed on a 6 Ft. Leash and are allowed in the park and at camp sites but not at cabins.
Yes.
All cabins have central heat and air. A few have fireplaces. The cabins don't have DVD players, but they have local channels. Im unsure if they have cable. The tvs are mounted near the ceiling, so if u did connect a DVD player you would need a long cord to reach from the tv to the floor or a table where you could set the player.
The cabins range (depending on size, type) from $70-$85 per night during the week and increase by $10 for weekend nights. The rates are the same year round but do require a minimum night stay during the summer season.
$70-85/night. You can book online
90 on the high end and well worth it.
Most likely but must call Clarkco for reservations or online park reservations
