This is the best place to learn driving. There are hugh parking lots that once belong to hangers and very long unused runway that used to be lifeline for aviation pioneers. Floyd Bennett Field was built between 1928 and 1931 and quickly became the preferred launching site for record-setting flights by Hughes, Earhart, Wiley Post and other aviation pioneers. Some portion of Floyd Bennett field is used by NYPD and Sanitation. There is one farm and visitor center which is worth visiting if you want to know more about aviation history attached to this airport.

The area definitely has alot of open space for the city. It's broken up in different areas. I haven't been or even know if I can get into? It's been a few yrs since I've rolled threw on bike. There's a number of different things going on from the sports area, gardening, R/C airplanes, etc. Its along Jamaica Bay at the start of Flatbush Ave. It's right before Marine park bridge to Rockaway. As a matter of fact it's the last light before the bridge 🌉. I've taken a few pics off the Brooklyn side of the Marine Park Bridge that next to or after F.B.Field. On the right side is Brooklyn (if you zoom in you will see the old parachute jump in Coney Island) and the left is the end of Rockaway called Breezy Point.

Idk I have the same question if or when I go again I'll ask them about it sorry I can't help right now
Probably, contact the national parks service.
Yrs. There is anarea strictly for that there. As you enter it on your right. Follow the signs
Maybe check who is managing it and contact them.
People do, but it's restricted. Speed limit is 25mph.
You would have to get in contact with the national park service and ask all those questions to them https://www.nps.gov/gate/contacts.htm Here is a link to contact them directly Hope this helps you
There are no areas to BBQ unless you have a campsite. Jacob Riis beach close by has about 15 sites but it gets crowded on summer weekends. You should come early
There is no air show. But you can see planes from WWII in the hanger
It's an old military base that has been converted a sport complex.. the soul circus, fairs and other outdoor exhibitions would set up there for a few weeks per yr..
Where do you get parking permits for fishing
I only use FBF as a biking destination or a resting area but I've never been inside the main building. There used to be a RC auto-racing track near the south entrance where I could watch people set up and race their RC cars but I don't think it's being used anymore as I had stopped by a few times last year and no one was racing. Covid-related, maybe?
They have new permits online call the Ryan Center at Floyd.
Call the mayor's office and ask them
Plenty of parking space... You can park in the side of the tarmac and ride your bike!
Parking is free anywhere. Fishing permits required
Not during the NY PAUSE
Open the public and traffic to vehicle. Good for fishing and picnic.
Don't go to the Tolls make the Left and go to the back it's a huge parking lot there
I don't see why not as people fly toy planes there all the time but I would ask the park rangers.
No parking permit needed floyd Bennett field is owned and run by NYC parks.
You would be taking a bus or two from the nearest train station. You can take the B/Q train to Kings Highway, and then transfer to the B100. You can then transfer at Kings Plaza to a Far Rockaway-bound Queens bus. The place would be right before the bridge.
Not possible
Not on the roads
Yes you can ride it on many of the ancient runways. You would have to go slow though. The isolated runways are close to the bay.
No. The buildings are controlled by the department of interior.. it is also a historical landmark that makes it impossible to build a non-existing structure.
Sure I believe this staff at hand in the main building so you can ask some any questions you like
The Q35 bus that runs on on Flatbush Avenue between Brooklyn college and Beach 116th street in Rockaway Park, Queens.
Dont really do drifting...
You might want to use Google maps to confirm it's location relative to Riis Beach.
Do you have tours that allow one to go inside the Neptune P2V Flew on these planes for 3 years and would like to get up on the flight deck if possible Thank you
