My score is solely based on my experience with the provider that tended to me on 10/7/22 and not a reflection of staff. I went in for a splinter on my middle left toe because I tried to break the skin at home the day before to extract the splinter to no avail due to a significant amount of pain and had no numbing agent available. I decided to go to urgent care 10/7/22 because I attempted to extract the splinter, but was having too much pain and knew I would not be able to do this myself. I go in and mentioned to the provider that it was too painful and I did not have a numbing agent to do it myself and he stated that I would not need a numbing agent, that he would scrap the splinter out and that would be that. He’s the physician so I took his word and trusted that I would not need any numbing agent. He took out a scalpel and attempted to scrap, but it was not successful, the provided then proceeded to take the point of the scalpel to break the skin and scrape the splinter out…I SAW STARS!!! It was painful, I started shaking, I bled, we had stop THREE times because I couldn’t take it! He managed to take a piece out on the third attempt, but he had to dig in deeper to extract the rest of the splinter and at the FOURTH ATTEMPT the splinter was extracted! I felt like I was carved open and he did not listen to me when I told him I had already attempted to break the skin at home myself, but needed a numbing agent. The provider did not listen me and by the end off my visit, I left in tears and limping, which I was not when I checked in. I know my visit was for a meaningless splinter and to this provider it may have looked like an easy extraction, but it was not. I entrusted my care to this provider and I left in tears and feeling like my voice was not heard. He did take out the splinter, but at the cost of not wanting to return.

The care, atmosphere and procedure was very positive all around. From the PA Sarah (I dont know her last name or the Doctors) and the Doctor were very sensitive and empathetic. The greeting staff also was very friendly and respectful. Thank you

Tuesday 1/5 My Mom just came from there and now they are doing tests by appointment only so people are not standing outside on line in the cold.

I got my test results in 15 minutes twice. First they've printed it, second by mail. But waiting time before testing was about 3 hours in a line.
