NEVER call back or acknowledge your input with phone numbers provided in letters and DO NOT KEEP APPOINTMENTS they themselves make. A disgrace. They upset you with letters and then leave you hanging. Really unconscionable with elderly people who need these benefits and are rightfully entitled to them.

I suggesting the County rename this Department. The people working there are not social and failed to provide any services. The workers in this Department are rude and unfriendly to anyone looking for help to get back on their feet again. My advice to the people who work there is this, if you hate your job or, life quit and let someone who truly cares about helping people take over your position. It's really a shame that these people will most likely retire with a pension for doing nothing. As I see it now, this Department is a waste of tax payers money.

no just walk in ask for help for your situation and they should have you fill oyt paperwork and offer help to fill it out if you need.and then depending on if its a emergency wait to be seen.if its not emergency they may have you see someone that day or set up appt.
there should be shelters in whatever county your in.and depending on your situation social services should be helping provude you temp. housing and setvices to help guide you back on your feet again.
there is a program yes.its called AlRecruit.
call the IRS and they will provide services you need.
just keep trying and if not go to your local family services or police station and they should help guide you in right direction depending on your needs.best of luck and hope things get better for you.
