This beach is AMAZING! Nothing like the chaotic Myrtle, ocean City, Virginia beach type of beaches. We've been coming here for year's at least 15 yrs! A hidden gem! So peaceful. Classic little beach town. Love there's not a ton of hotel's lining the coast which I feel keeps the high traffic away, it's 99% home's. As far as I know, there is 1 hotel and a few condos. Then again, most of the Charleston beaches are that way anyway. The houses are pricey BUT well worth it!!

Me and my dogs really liked this beach. It is pet friendly in low season. Not too much garbage nor little stones that some beaches have that make it unconfortable to walk bearfoot.

Beach is clean. Starbucks is close to the pier in case you need coffee. Plenty of showers to rinse sand. Pier was under construction. Carry cash for parking which was anywhere between 5 and 10$. Keep food hidden. Many birds were picking on chips , fries and sandwiches from other guests.

Nice clean beach. We've enjoyed our visits. Not crowded when we've been there. My kids found lots of pretty shells. We watched dolphins just offshore.

There is pay parking along the beach north of the pier. We're usually there on Saturday mornings and there are lots of spaces except on days when there's a surfing competition going on. Don't know if there's any particular policy regarding RVs versus cars.
this time of year you can bring them anytime of the day. I think from May to October/ November it's only allowed early morning and evening.
