Second time we've ridden the trash in the summer and waited around the rim. There's no denying that the views are amazing! Very busy Memorial Day weekend when we went, but that is to be expected. Definitely worth a stop.

Like the Flume Gorge down the road taking the aerial tram at Cannon Mountain is another "mandatory" experience while visiting New Hampshire in the summer. The ride up is really cool but the best part of the experience is the short hike up the Rim trail to see the views from the observation tower. We had a clear day hiking up the Rim trail, it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. You feel like your at the edge of the world!

We had lots of fun. A beautiful spot to check out. It was a bit foggy the day we went. Still had a great time. We bought our tickets in advance thinking maybe we would not have a bunch of people on the tram. It was packed. The view was awesome.

We took the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway to the Top. It was a cool ride and it was a unique and beautiful experience. At the top there is a small cafe where one can have snacks and drinks. There is an amazing trail at the top where one can see amazing views and click pictures. All in all it was an amazing experience. But try not to take the last tramway as it gives you the minimum time at the top.

Only if you expect to be physically hauled off the tram. 😉
I sent some stray cats up the tram once. Everything went purrfect
Yes tourist non skiing tickets are still for sale cheaper than ski tickets in the winter. In theory Damien Bell has no idea what he is talking about.
Shouldn't . Might want to get there early.
Yes there is a nice trail around the top. Teams ran every 15 minutes when we were there. BEAUTIFUL UP THERE
9am-5pm
You'll most likely have to purchase a round-trip ticket for around $25 (depending on the day of the week)
We took the "long" trail (highly recommended!!!) which has stunning views. It leads you to the observation tower. Many young children were on this trail which has little short side paths (10-30 feet) where you can take stunning family photos if you choose. Try to go on a clear day. This probably would be a 15-20 minute hike. The "short" path may be steeper, but is much shorter and without the scenic views. There is also a food bar (we didn't eat there) and bathrooms. The observation tower gives a 360 view of the surrounding mountains. Make sure to order your tickets online or plan on waiting for an available time slot...if there is one.
No
The tram is closed only swimming and hiking
Yes, it's open from 9 to 3:45 during the winter.
Not long, it runs every 15 minutes and it holds about 70 people, I've never been on a tram with more than 12 during the summer and I've been about 7 times.
It is 5 miles from the Flume to the Tram and there are 152 steps in the Flume Gorge.
No except for handicap service dogs
Look at lift ticket prices
Or internet website will show you.
How about asking whether your location on Google or any of the TV apps.
They run that thing in 40mph winds if the wind direction is right.
Only New Hampshire resident seniors can ride free on weekdays.
$19 for ages 13yrs & up $17 for ages 6 - 12yrs 5 & under free Summer 2019
I wouldn't suggest it they pack them people in but if you don't mind your Dog potentially being stepped on go for it
It's every 15 except peak hours, when it's as fast as they can load it and 6 or 7 min one way. Don't listen to the tourists they're here asking questions too. Speed has zero to do with view and everything to do with conditions and how many people they can crank up and down the hill.
Vista Way, Tramway, Upper Cannon, Dave's Detour, Bypass, Jasper's hideaway, Banshee, Avalanche, And obviously DJ's tramline are all plainly visible from the tram.
It's about 100 ft off the ground at some spots.
