6-10 weeks for any kind of glasses. 4 hours for them to fax a prescription. This VA has gone massively down hill in the last 5 years.

I will admit that I am biased as I have worked at the VA now for 10 years. What I have seen here is excellence in terms of nursing, housekeeping, the kitchen staff, etc... How we all work as a team to make the veteran's we care for happy. This isn't for everyone and not everyone shares my opinions. I have had amazing experiences with the veterans here. The little things matter to most. Just listening and trying to understand the depth of Normandy or Korea... Or Vietnam. Even though it is all beyond me the respect I feel is tremendous. The brave come here and we serve them. I count myself lucky.

The service here is getting worse and less friendly. I don't know if it's staff cuts but it's getting harder to get someone to answer a phone and even harder to get a call back. If you are a person that has a job better believe that you will have to take off work to get anything done.

They do not but you are able to go to a doctor outside of the VA and they will pay for all of the services 100% part of the initiative to make it's some of the veterans have a choice is there Health Care if it's not available at the VA. Even if it is available they'll let you go to the outside and pay for it
Call Erie va and ask for msa in primary care they will be able to help
You should be able to get their ext at the VA to talk to their nurse or leave a voicemail.
Call the Erie VA Medical Center and ask for the eligibility department and they will be able to put you in the right direction. If you do not have your dd14 they will be able to bring it up on the computer and prove who you are and if you come in with your ID you will be able to the same day be approved and told of your eligibility this particular Erie Pennsylvania VA is very good and very prompt
They have a small store in the basement near the cafeteria.
There is information available through Department of Veteran's Affairs and on the web at VA.gov. If you were serving at Camp Lejune during that time please pursue your VA benefits to their fullest extent.

No, the UCC is open from 8a to 8p
United States government does not allow for a Wi-Fi usage outside the government structure as the critical information contained on it were an open wi-fi could be accessed by those that were not cleared for that security level could cause a HIPAA violation
While i cant say for sure, i do know that the building isnt signal friendly. Also, the network is bogged down by firewalls and other security features required by the federal government that will cause internet traffic to slow considerably no matter the bandwidth. It is a necessary evil with the sensitive information contained within that network. Not the most satisfying answer but it does explain at least a portion of the slow wifi speeds.
The Erie VA Medical Center will gladly vaccinate you with the flu vaccine to cause you to not have the flu because it is free for veterans and they will allow you come in anytime and get a flu shot anytime of the Year
Depending upon where you're located you should contact the local health facility and you should also contact every public office that you possibly can and I would also approach the local TV stations with the proof that you have of the contaminated water and bring it to the note of the FDA and OSHA and the Environmental Protection Agency. There may be a fracking of gas going on around you and if that is so it will cause cancer
Go in the front door of the VA Medical Center on 38th Street Erie make a right go to eligibility if you can't find it the valet people at the front door won't will show you the way
