-Dog Park-. The first I year I was here was the worst. The park would have feces in it for days, no bags, trash can overflowing, doors would be broken every week so they would not close. Forget about using the park during the summer during the Late Spring/Summer/Early Fall. Mosquitos that will eat both you and your dog alive within minutes. This is due in part to the constantly running hose that leaks for months before it gets fixed, and the landscape design. Mill Creek Places refuses to treat more than once. - At least 10 times collectively in the past year and half that either the power was out altogether or the HVAC systems were down. -It's understandable that our laundry room was to be renovated. However, after the announcement there were little to no updates on the status of the renovation.Months of trekking our laundry to the other building, only then to find out that we had to use quarters because they didn’t have the card machine installed firstly. There was no change machine. Finally, the card machine was installed and working, only for maybe 6 months later, the card machine stopped working. It took weeks to fix, we had to use quarters again. The the machines stopped accepting quarters, we had to go to the other side again…in the rain. Management office never had quarters on hand. You would think if they knew that residents were being screwed over on the daily, they might try to be accommodating. Weeks to months, then finally the machine was fixed. Would only take certain cards, then wouldn’t take them. Back to quarters. As of 2 weeks ago, it was still not fixed; it’s been 4 months. -1 of 2 available elevators was down for at least 6 mos. If not one, it was the other. Along with move-ins and move-outs in the one available elevator, well you can imagine. The 1100 building also experienced the same issues from what I understand. There is no order to when people can move, so you just have to wait regardless of the time of day. - I witnessed a very visible leak in the entrance of the building, clearly coming from the unit above, grow and grow and grow, until one day the moldy ceiling just fell right out onto the sidewalk. It fell 2 weeks ago, just patched it yesterday, still leaking. 1100 building has 3 GIANT mold spots, with long-term leaks, growing for a 1 1/2 yrs. They cut those out this week and put cardboard over the spots…only for the eak to force its way through the cardboard, now it’s just hanging. Cute. - The lobby/walkways are filthy for DAYS. From feces left, to rat trap components, chicken wings, dishes, you name it. Ketchup has been strewn across the entrance for 5 days. Multiple occasions of urine, both human and animal, in the elevators. Not to mention the blood that took over an hour for someone to clean up. - Residents smoke weed/cigarettes in units, staff is unable to figure out where it’s coming from. Some residents are not respectful in common areas or to other residents, wont go into detail but, I’ve been very uncomfortable walking through the courtyard or lobby. Dog hating people. Multiple residents that refuse you on the elevator if you have a dog with you, will close the doors, pin themselves against the wall, yell at you. I have a 32lb medium, super sweet dog that keeps to herself and it’s been really difficult whenever we’ve encountered them. I’m clearly fed up and management is well aware. I’ve voiced these concerns and they’ve shown no care. I included the regional manager of Mill Creek Places, the developer/management company that allows some of these things to continue and apparently encourages a hands-off, zero effs approach. I can’t wait for message from Shawn, asking me to call the office. I’ve e-mailed him and have asked to meet with him in person, in a year and half, he has never responded. That is the GM. Modern On M, the sister buildings next to this building, will share amenities and management (Mill Creek Places). sorry for typos-character limit

First of all: DO NOT be fooled by the beautiful courtyard and decent apartments. The did the bare minimum to get away with charging people the market rate for the area (or attempting to). I’m not really sure where to begin, so forgive me if this is a bit scatterbrained: The units themselves again are at most decent. Gas stoves, newer refrigerators (the ice makers don’t work fyi), some units have pendant lighting, others don’t. With that said, having lived in two of the units, at opposite ends of the building, the cons outweigh the pros. First unit had cockroaches coming in through the bathroom vent for months. Cigarette smoke would waft through the apartment, as it was situated on the end where the smoking area is located; closet was always falling off the track until they put a nail in at one end and there was a horrific smell coming from the bathroom pipe beneath the vanity of which management stated they couldn’t smell (one manager even said “maybe its your smell” to get me to drop it). The unit on my left had airbnb’ers, which I wouldn’t normally care about but after I had an underage, drunk girl shouting in my doorway at 3am, I cared. After me reporting everything and constantly following up, I noticed that there was another unit available in the same building and asked to move. I was told that would be fine if a paid a $1,000 transfer fee. I explained that after everything that I had to deal with, I felt it was a reasonable request to have the fee waived. She then asked me to recite the issues, so I did. At which point, she told me to send them in writing, so I did. They eventually did drop the transfer fee and I moved. As the next apartment is sandwiched between two other units, bedrooms both facing my unit, I can hear everything and so can my neighbors. When I say everything…I truly mean it. My neighbors were nice so I never complained about them. Besides, we all gotta live our lives. Now, my other neighbor began complaining about my television or music constantly. Every time concierge would come, they would say that the volumes were not loud. However, in attempt to be a good neighbor, I would turn it down whenever he complained. Then one Sunday afternoon, I’m cleaning my apartment and I get another complaint. I explained that I could not even hear the music over my tiny little vacuum and he agreed it was not loud. I sent an email to management asking them to step in with a voice of reason, as I too should be able to enjoy my dwelling space. I’ve never had a party, never more than 3 people in my apartment (for 20 minutes), and usually keep to myself. I explained all of this in my email. Hours later, I receive a knock on the door- it was an attorney servicing me with a 30 notice to correct or vacate. Total BS, yes. Thankfully, I know my rights and happened to know the attorney. All of the knocks on the door would also stress my dog out, this went on for months. After management didn’t even so much as respond to my email, I made contact with my neighbor which made things better, still unresolved. All of that is to say, the walls are PAPER THIN and management could care less about anything that actually matters, but I’ll get into more specifics later. Real quick note on the windows in the apartments: The windows only open a sliver of the way, which is just the design, but nonetheless not ideal. Still, I never was able to open my windows in both units because it was either cigarette smoke or construction dust that would fill the apartment and cover absolutely everything in a matter of an hour. - Government Programs. I support the idea of people having a second chance, but if they are a danger, it should be addressed. One man clearly struggled with alcoholism, other substances, would wander the courtyard, gym, lobby and building out of his mind drunk, at 10am sometimes. He would talk to himself, scream or heckle very loudly at all hours, and at one time accosted my dog who was sitting next to me silently. TBC

The property manager lost their copy of the key to my door (and it had been missing for a long time). Against my instructions, they inspected my apartment while I was not there. When I returned home, several small valuables were missing.
