great park for an easy hike. lots of space for your critters to run. only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was there was a couple of people living in their cars camped around the restrooms so a bit uneasy leaving car behind, just make sure you dont leave any valuables or reasons for someone to want to break into your car.

It is a beautiful setting for walking and horseback riding, although it us not monitored by park staff and law enforcement is a minimum of 20-30 minutes away. Frequented by less scrupulous people and graffiti...take a friend.

The location of the park is pretty neat: near the Nooksack and far enough from Mt Baker Hwy that traffic noise isn't an issue. The trail, as it exists now, is pretty short (2 mi round-trip), and nothing more than a mowed path through taller grass for much of the length of the loop trail. I'd like to revisit after the county finishes adding the 5.25 mi connecting trail.
