worst place to park Most of the parking lots were closed and spent 20 minutes looking for a parking and ended up, leaving without parking and paying for parking

Negative stars if I could. Single worst parking garage I've ever used, in any major city. Poor entrance markings & low visibility. They do NOT take credit cards on the way in, you have to get a ticket. Why?! This means when it is time to leave, you have to go to a pay station, of which there is only ONE per parking garage. Not one per floor, ONE TOTAL. The pricing is heavily skewed against short term parking; it's the same charge for 4 hours as it is for up to 24 hours. You see other complaints on here about how there are no spots, well this is why. If you're going to park for more than 2-3 hours, might as well just park all day and walk around, it's the same cost. Went to see a concert on the Wharf...the queue was so long (over 20 minutes) at the pay machine that all of us in line trying to leave this god-forsaken garage ticked over into the 4 hour range, because we couldn't get out. This has to be intentional. They essentially "scammed" each of us. We all should have paid $35 and instead got charged $45 because we couldn't pay in time. Oh, and the machines only take Visa and Mastercard. No Discover, no American Express. There are no signs telling you this, you can only find out by trial & error. Direction around the garage is horrible. No signs or other markers to tell you where to go. The elevators do not work, so good luck if you can't take the stairs. The stair entrances, if you can even find them because they are essentially hidden, are literally surrounded by construction debris. I have never been so frustrated by a parking garage in my entire life. I just took 15 minutes out of my day typing this up just to hopefully spare someone else from this hassle. Park ANYWHERE ELSE but here.

Easy access, lots of places to park to put you near your choice of the Wharf area. Despite price for a downtown district. Would definitely use again.

Wharf Parking Garage 1 has three vehicular entrances that are all connected in an underground garage. Once inside the garage, drive toward Section E (orange) to be closest to Hank's Oyster Bar at 701 Wharf St SW.
If I remember correctly, it was a daily max of $35
Vehicular clearance at The Wharf Garage is 8 feet, 2 inches (8' 2").
