Edit: I have been staying here for 1 year now and have noticed various different issues and inflexibilities, such as a steep late payment fee despite it being a long weekend and major elevator issues that haven’t been resolved since the year I’ve been staying there. If I returned to DC, I wouldn’t choose this as a place to live. My initial 5 star review: I am not (yet) a tenant here but want to compliment and call out and incredible support I had from both Kehinde and Andrea from Post Mass. They have patiently dealt with every single lease requirement we had with so much grace and flexibility. From setting up the tour to approving our application to responding to every single phone call / email we had, I had such a pleasant experience. I have not once dealt with such a friendly and professional apartment community before. Thank you. Very much looking forward to living here!

I loved living here thanks to the location, front desk and maintenance staff, but a 30% rent increase made it a no-brainer to move elsewhere. Only rent here if you are comfortable with confronting an astronomical rent increase at the end of your lease term.

Beware property management and rent escalations. Lived at the Post for 3 years going on 4 years ... It's a great location, amenities, front desk staff, and maintenance staff are also very great. However, as a place to call home for more than a few years it starts to becomes unreasonable for incumbent tenants favoring new tenants at discounted 1st year rents. Year-over-year I've seen a $200 increase in rent (event through COVID) which makes the place more unaffordable with no concessions from property management. Recently we've seen a flux of fresh college graduates moving into the building which adds a bit to the distaste of shelling out ~$4000/month in rent for a 1 bedroom -- keep in mind your sharing some of the buildings best amenities (rooftop, grills, and pools) with a sometime rambunctious group. Lastly, the leasing office might as well be non-existent, consistently disinterested in helping, emails go into a void for a few days before they're responded to, and ultimately not the kind of service that you'd expect at the level of rent you're paying.

I will have to say that I had a horrible experience with the leasing office. The manager did poorly in addressing my concerns about awful painting odors that possible caused negative health impacts to my roommate and I. Claiming that they would bring humidifiers to our room and have replied to our email, we never heard back from them since then. We had to pay ourselves to stay in an expensive hotel as a result. The amenities are great, but I lament about the incapable leasing office that provides inadequate and irresponsible service to us.
