I need to have an MRI taken of my back. Do I need to remove all my clothing and stand with my back to be taken or do I need to lie on my stomach and have the MRI done?

My daughter had mri done at washington open mri facility in greenbelt, md. You might want to contact the mri facility to answer your question. Her mri was done standing w a gown on.

For an MRI of hips and legs does my head have to be inside a machine? I am severely claustrophobic to the extent I cant control the panic fight mode and tranqulisers don't help a much.
