Found a hawk on the side of the road today – these folks responded quickly, gave us instructions on how to transport, spent time with us when we got there gathering information about the hawk and how we found him, and let us view the examination from the door. Told us about the status of the hawk, next steps, and when we could call back for updates. Very knowledgeable & welcoming team - so glad they are available! Definitely consider donating to this nonprofit 👍🏼

The Owl Moon Raptor is the best wildlife rescue in DC area. When I spotted an owlet on the ground, they were the only ones ready to help. They did everything necessary from examining, rehydrating and feeding to returning the owlet back to tree, only with the new sturdy nest. This amazing organization is truly dedicated to the protection of our fragile wildlife.

My daughter, and her friends, found an egg and were very worried. I was able to call and speak with a wonderful woman, named Suzanne, who asked us to text her with photo of the egg. After a few hours and multiple text messages, I sadly had to inform my daughter the egg was "not viable". Thank you, Owl Moon Raptor, for taking the time to help a few kids learn, and a wore out dad!

A hawk has been screaming for hours at a time for 4 days near my house and now sounds as if he's crying piteously! It's a heart wrenching sound. I still see him flying about...should I get someone to help?

It is likely a red shouldered or red tail fledgling. They are very vocal and are still begging from the parents. If he's flying, he is probably ok. Could you possibly get a pic?

Right now my family found a baby nestling and i been tryin to look up wildlife centers and rehabilitation this is the best one so far. Do you guys care for the baby nestlong birds?

Owl Moon deals primarily with birds of prey-- hawks, owls etc. Second Chance Wildlife or Phoenix Wildlife would be the best to contact if this is a songbird
