Worst healthcare experience EVER!!! I cut my ear in a fall and went in to Sutter Urgent Care San Carlos. Their hours are 8-4. When I get there, I learn it's by appointment only, and they're all booked up! So what's the point of having an urgent care that's appointment only. It doesn't matter if there weren't any appointments. Someone in customer service got me an appointment, at urgent care, so I went home to wait for my appointment. When I got there for my appointment, I was subjected to half a dozen tests. After the tests and hours spent there, they said they didn't want to deal with my lacerations and sent me to Stanford ER. Stanford ER was so much more professional , effective and efficiernt. Sutter Urgent Care is absolutely useless. All they do is take your money by ordering unnecessary tests, and then don't even resolve your issue (this is "too tricky a procedure for us") Really? aren't you doctors?. I will NEVER use Sutter Urgent Care again and will always go to an ER first. I'm sure health insurance is completely on board with them sending patients to ERs instead of their own Urgent care. Sutter made a lot of money off my insurance with bogus tests. Fortunately, I found REAL DOCTORS, REAL NURSES AND REAL ADMINISTRATORS at Stanford who are not just trying to pass the buck after charging me for a cunch of useless tests. I wish I could find a new healthcare facility :(

Welcomed politely, and everything went smoothly... PS PRIOR... I was not informed when I called the main number that an appointment was necessary, (after being told to go there) luckily for me, (at least) I live nearby.
