Nice place. Small walk to start of trail.

One of my favorite places to go in the whole world. I’ve hiked in, in the snow in the winter and I soaked in the sunshine in the summer. The man made cement areas have really taken away the naturalness of it. Floating in the pools. Basking in the moonlight as the snow falls down around is a memory I will forever cherish!!! Many many memories of perfect moments in time over the last 20 years. I try to go at least once a month. FYI for newbies: please educate yourself on hot sitting etiquette

Anther beautiful day 11/16/21 Top pool was several degrees cooler on this from rain water seeping in from the ground. Still coming out of the ground piping hot though and this allowed more folks to enjoy the top pool.

It was a very beautiful place! The drive there and the short hike in was beautiful as well. However, college students and nature tourist lack integrity, the pool and area were covered with discarded clothing and beer cans. There was a pile of human poop on the ledge of the lower pond.

I'm sorry to say, it is gone. No one will be allowed back there for a very long time. It was the epicenter of a very large fire that is still burning out of control. Last I heard, it was at 4700 acres.
The road is open, was just there on Monday.
Back road was open last time I was up there
Possibilty have to be clothed 500 ft from trailhead. Quarter mile hike in
Still closed due to the fires last year.
