Really poor bedside manner. I usually prefer female doctors but when a male PA (Jeffery Fine) saw me for my allergic reaction to clindamycin for a tooth infection I figured it would be ok. It really wasn’t. There was no huge red flags or blowups but honestly he really tried to gaslight me and make me feel stupid despite me being the expert on my own body and having knowledge of what was going on. I had to assert myself and advocate for myself and the treatment I knew that I needed. He tried to tell me to stop my antibiotic in the middle of taking it and initially wasn’t keen on giving me another one to resolve the infection and essentially told me that I’m screwed if this new antibiotic doesn’t work. Not a very helpful or comfortable experience to be mansplained about my own mouth and the risks of discontinuing antibiotics while still having an active infection. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful though, she gets 5 stars.
