Lemeko Green, Homestead Tax-Credit Supervisor... a sad angry person who works in a role she vocally opposes the mission of. When asking questions of the Homestead Tax Credit progam, she would cut me off, speak to the injustice of the program, not listen for questions, say that the rules and regulations of the program were not written anywhere but that she was the only source of information. At the end of our conversation she continued to ignore my questions and stated "if I had it my way no one would get any tax credits and everyone would just pay what they owed." A wonderful comment comming from the supervisor of a tax credit program. Unhelpful is an understatement, frankly hostile to anyone wanting to utilize the program and a clear hurdle. Please Lemeko, find a position or post that better suits your ideals, or at least kep your opinions to yourself and provide a service our taxes pay for.

I don’t even know where to begin. I filled a new business LLC with LLC paperwork and somehow my business was approved as a NON-TAX CORPORATION. I immediately emailed them of the issue. I followed up with a call and was advised to file a Dissolution of a Corporation. I did that and it was rejected citing The Articles must be executed in accordance with Md. Code, Corporations and Associations §1-301(a)(1), (a)(2), and (a)(4) (or the alternative to (a)(4) of §1-302). Two officers or agents must execute, and one must verify the facts and matters relating to approval under oath or under the penalties for perjury. Need address of director in Article Fourth.Sec. 3-404 of the Corporations and Associations Articles requires waiting 20 days after sending notice to creditors before filing Articles of Dissolution with the Department. You must wait to file Articles of Dissolution until 9/20/22. My initial application did NOT meet any of the requirements to be a Non Tax Corporation. It didn’t even have the proper paperwork and should have been rejected from the beginning. This business never had a treasure or a director or a president. Just a owner/ceo of the LLC business. Now I am being asked for information I don’t have. There is NO director, NO treasure, NO SECRETARY and NO president of this LLC. Each corporation needs a president, secretary, and treasurer. Please include the officers and addresses in Article Fifth. I can’t get anyone on the phone to fix this mess. I can’t even transfer money collected from my POS to a bank because my business isn’t registered properly. I can’t open a bank account because the business registration is wrong.

I just looked at Sdat's website. My earlier answer was for the Homestead Tax Credit. Homeowners Tax Credits are income & age based. You should look at Maryland Sdat's website to see if you qualify. The 2 programs are different.
No. The State Office complex is still closed to the public & will continue to be until at least January. Business can be done via the web. There are help lines availible for certain departments.
Don’t put your social out on the internet, this does not go directly to them, it gets posted on google

Visit the State Dept of Assessments & Taxation at 301 W Preston St, Baltimore, MD 21201and inform them of the closure. I believe there is a form for you to fill out 😉😉😉
Unfortunately, we don't have upload ability. You may either mail them in or fill and file your forms online. Or, you can walk them in and put them in the Non-Rush Drop off Box in the main lobby.
No it has to be mailed in or dropped off
It's based on what area you live in. It's divided into 3 areas. They're doing 1 area per year starting January 1st of 2022

What's the name of your business
Scrib productions perfect combination if that you you should consider changing it to a corp or llc. You have no legal protection using a trade name and using a L number. Email at magichorace.sdat@gmail. Leave me your number and ill call you
I think you would need to contact DC government....this is the State of Maryland
You may submit a resignation form with the name off the company and the ID number along with your name and signature and it will be removed at no charge. I do believe the form is on the website at dat.Maryland.Gov. If not you can just write it down on a blank sheet of paper stating that you are no longer the resident agent with the same information and your signature and still no charge for that.
Yes, but there is a fee associated with it

Non
Yes the only reason the md pension received by state employess is excluded for a few years is because md previously taxed the amount. After that is complete md does have a regular pension exclusion based on income and social security benefits received. So yes some of your pension is excluded it depends on your income
No
I thought you filled that with your taxes
Call
Call ans ask as that is not the reason I went there
If your home has not been identified as your personal residence you should call sdat and ask why.
Whats that!!?
Go to sdat website put in the name of the business you wish to establish. Funny story, I had a company that was granted a business name and it turned out the name was already taken. This was forty years ago before computers kept us from making that mistake.
