Started DORS in 2011. I will say some of the staff are nice others not so much. I thought I would enjoy this instead it was like being at a boarding school. At one time I ended up on floor/room restrictions for falling asleep in class due to a medical issue plus always needing a nap through out the day. Was told that I needed to get to sleep early and so forth. Some of the students there are childish and so much drama. Also there were mice craving all over the halls and in my dorm room even to a point were one of them had ran across the top of my bed on me. Even though I bought totes in to store the food ect. Now I'm looking up the update packed and they now telling them when to shower and everything I get if you have a roommate which is 90 percent of the time but I was luck pretty much the whole time I was in CLST and the other dorm services I didn't have a roommate. But still. Im so glad I'm not apart of this program. And I will never recommend this program.

The Chief Security Guard, black with braided hair, cap and glasses, is a very rude lady! She should be fired as she doesn't know how to treat people with disabilities!

If you have an advanced degree they have nothing for you. I find that they would keep you down if you do and disabled. They should have something for the disabled if they have an advance degree it doesn't make any sense to keep a person down if they have an advance degree. There is a question of disparity and equity in this program that need to be dealt with. That because you are disabled we don't have to take crumbs!

This is Germantown DORS program and there is some discriminatory issues in that office. I had a counselor who was disabled who was nefarious and angry because she was an amputee. She didn't realize that I had my phone on that my witness heard her having a "mental break down" yelling. Her intentions was very deceptive as she tried intimidate me in front of a Job coach. She said that the JSSA job coach director was a lawyer as he was asking about my disability which suppose to be non disclosure to the public. Can you believe the DORS program violated disability law? Discriminates against people of color who is disabled? If jobs don't have a right to ask the disclosure of disability how can JSSA job coaches?

DORS helps people with disabilities to become or stay employed. If you have a disability and want to see if DORS can help you, fill out the self-referral form here - https://dors.maryland.gov/consumers/Pages/referral.aspx And, learn more about: DORS Right for Me? at https://dors.maryland.gov/consumers/Pages/appropriate.aspx

You should contact your old field counselor. If you don't have their contact information, look online at dors.maryland.gov
