Good clinic. Unless you want to get clean.and Just don't ask them for help with alcohol withdrawals when you're shaking really bad and your blood pressure is 213/120 because you haven't had a drink for19 hours and you're trying to quit drinking (after you've been drinking for 3 weeks straight because your son got murdered) you want to quit because your liver is failing; they'll with hold your dose that day. They won't offer to check your blood pressure or anything. Meanwhile, my car blew a gasket on the way there.

This place is a really nice safe clean and professional environment! They go out of their way to help you as long as your honest with yourself and them about your addiction! It’s a pleasure to come in and be greeted by such caring individuals! The ones that get a bad rap are truly, nice and caring people! I think if you’ve been in this field as long as them you have seen and heard more then your share of the nastiest people can be especially when your going through withdrawals! Their there to help not be your punching bag! Everyone has bad days we’re only human, but if you can apologize for your actions that shows your truly there for help, not just a place holder til u get your next fix! Everyone I have dealt with there are truly great individuals and each help out in the best way they can! I want to give a special thank you to Heather, she has been a great listener without judgement, offers great advice and has given me strength through those tough times! It’s a pleasure to see her every morning with a smile on her face! She has saved me many times from roller coasting into a dark hole she will never know how much her advice and just plain girly gossiping in the morning has made my day a little brighter! Thank you Heather! THANK YOU!! EVERYONE!! (May god bless and protect you all!!)

For the most part, TTC is staffed by nice, not unintelligent people and what’s great, they are now taking Medicare in lieu of cash payment. Easygoing, friendly, no-hassle (for the most part) service and no long lines. Easy-in/easy-out! Clean, safe & located in a not bad neighborhood. If one stays clean, keeps on showing this to the staff then you’ll get take-homes and that is a great thing- it is not fun to have to go everyday! If you have a week or two of THs you can go about your life and just go back to get more when you need to. They are a little short staffed, so the “counseling” part is not a big thing here, but they do have a couple of really nice people with whom one can chat if one has an issue for which they’d like to get help and you don’t need to make an appointment; they’re usually free unless they happen to be dealing with another “client”, but that isn’t too often. I know there’s some who get down on methadone clinics - they’ll say “oh, those places don’t care about you; they only want to get money & try to keep you from ever tapering down in order to get off it” &, well that may be near the truth for some clinics but if you really are ready to start coming down they don’t dissuade you or discourage you. They do the titrating in a consistent- i.e., they work with you to set up a schedule- and safe, necessarily slow fashion. If it seems obvious to the nurse or whomever you talk with about this that you don’t seem to be ready to get off methadone yet they will tell you so but if you feel that you really do want to come off it and insist they’re not going to “force” you to stay on: that’s ridiculous! One last thing about Thunderbird: the clinic is in a nice, safe, clean neighborhood not like, say “BHS”, which I checked out when I moved here in 2017. That place was not the kind of environment in which I’d want to be when staying clean and just maintaining on methadone; shabby inside and out. But at TTC they keep a clean shop & you don’t see anyone hanging around in or outside in the parking lot. Very quiet, nobody talking much and never have I seen anyone yelling or otherwise complaining about “hey, I was before him” or something about whatever. Great staff. Not a lot of them but if you have an issue you want to talk about you can get with someone. Best methadone clinic I’ve seen.

Self pay isn't very much. It's only 60/week. When you think about it, it's cheaper than what you're doing now that doesn't take AHCCCS. But if I were you I'd call the clinic and ask them. I really think they do take AHCCCS. There's also a second location at 19th Ave and Bell Rd. It's called Bell treatment center. But your best bet is to CALL the clinic directly with any questions you have because they have limited intake hours on specific days.
John, Prior to your first dose of methadone, you will be evaluated by a counselor and by one of our providers to make sure the program is appropriate for you! No appointment is necessary. Come to the clinic at anytime to learn more!
$100 for intake. Then it goes to $60 cash only. However if you don't pay $60 for the week they charge $10 a day making it $70.
Are you asking about the building under construction
Have you tried calling them? I got in no problem, when I first joined. It's cash only.
