I started going here because I got BV and this was the place that could see me the quickest, almost 2 years ago. Then, just over 2 months ago at the beginning of August I went for an IUD insertion, they had to have me do a consult first, and then I went back a few days later for the insertion. The whole IUD process will be uncomfortable no matter where you go, but I thought the doctor was doing it correctly. She was nice and it seemed normal, though I have never had an IUD before and didn't know what the standard operating procedure was. They wanted me to do a follow up to check if it was in place, but each time I go I have to pay copays every time, so this whole process gets expensive when they want copays for the consult, copays for the insert, and copays to check. I felt normal afterwards (of course with some cramping and bleeding). So I didn't feel that I needed to go back. It was fine, but then a few days ago (about 60ish days after insertion) I felt paranoid if something was wrong and felt some weird discomfort on my lower left side. I had had some heavier discharge ever since I got the IUD. But just a few days ago I started to feel paranoid like maybe something was wrong and it was out of place. I was worried and made an appointment with another OBGYN place and they did a sonogram to see, and the IUD was partially in my cervix. (AKA not effective as birth control). So, my body was trying to get rid of it. The rates are about .5% ~ 11%, and apparently it is higher in the first few months. I only had it for a little over 60 days. I asked the provider at the other place and she said the only way to tell if it was placed properly is to do a sonogram after placing it. Which, Estrella Women's Health Center never did. I asked around to someone who I know who had more IUD experience, and she said that when she has had an IUD placed, they checked afterwards. I did not know this was normal. So, I ended up having to get it removed at a different place because it was leaving my cervix open, which can lead to infection. What a waste of my time, money, and strength. The whole process was not good and not even worth it since I had to get it removed. I recommend going somewhere where they will do a sonogram/transvaginal ultrasound IN THE SAME VISIT as IUD insertion to ensure it is properly placed.

I put one star because it won't let you make a review with zero ⭐ I use to love this office my doctor was Dr Walter but the front desk are really rude.....and when you call to make an appointment or have any question if you call 20 min before they close they said the office is close like really that's why it's Said close at 3 not at 2:40

I have used Dr Oland for my well womens and 2 pregnancies that were 12 years apart. Dr Oland is always amazing. Very attentive and kind. He's always on time. I had medical complications this time and he made sure and reassured me that my son was going to be ok. And of course he is...I highly recommend Dr Oland to everyone!!

Very bad service they take time to attend to you and then they say that they have to cancel your appointment because the doctor has a caesarean section if I supposedly had an appointment obviously I did not have to have another appointment at that same time and they did not want to attend me because my card did not pass to pay the copay, I never come back here, they think that one has time to come back whenever they want, of course not!
