I used to practice at TMC and it was a very good hospital back in the day. Not anymore. My mother went to the ER yesterday morning. She has been admitted, but no one can tell us why. My father was with her all day yesterday and today. NO ONE IS COMMUNICATING WITH US. No one will tell us her diagnosis or why she is getting the treatment she is getting. I have called and left messages for the doctor, the nurses, NO ONE EVER CALLS ME BACK. (I would be there, but I am out of town.) My father says the doctor (Dr Shir) didn't introduce himself or explain anything. He acted like he couldn't wait to get out of the room. Lack of communication is one of the biggest problems in medicine today. Why do most doctors forget the manners their mothers taught them when they finish med school? I'm thinking of transferring her to St Mary's.

One of the best hospitals in the nation.

My kid was dying from strip throat fever for several days so I took him here at 5 am then waiting start’s until 7 am when the majesties nurses came then waited for doctor the kid had obvious throat infection and upper respiratory infection. All them nurses and doctor lied to me saying they have prescribed amoxicillin for him I should go to pharmacy and then discharged us after several try’s and wait pharmacy told me nothing is been received from TMC prescribing him now I can’t go back leaving my kid to ask why did they do this? Or go argue I took my kid to banner hospital they prescribed him with amoxicillin kid is doing great. A simple fix caused a poor innocent kid to suffer more . What I saw was a tardy nurse’s careless behavior towards a child Im sure we all know how hard it is to party and drink all night go to work sleepless but please don’t forget your oath that you have taken. I hope that you find help when you are in such situation karma is watching over you nurses be humble

By far the worst medical care I've ever received or witnessed. Came in Friday night to the ER with a severe infection in my leg. Waited for over 5 hours before I was even seen. The nurses were great that night though and the PA who tried to help me. I had to leave Sunday morning against her wishes because I had to feed my animals at home but promised her I'd return. I returned to the emergency room a couple hours later and waited another 3 hours before being seen even though the infection was worse than before. Finally taken back and put in a room where the ac was not working. The nurse this time was completely incompetent. My IV machine alarm was constantly going off because it was not working, not to mention the alarms on the heart rate and blood pressure monitor. Hit the call button and no one came for over an hour. Machines still not fixed and alarms going off no one came. Kept hitting the call button because now I needed the bathroom. Waited an hour again no one came. I disconnected everything so I could go to the bathroom Still at this point not received the antibiotics because the machine is not working. Finally saw a Dr who only spent 2 mins with me, didn't even really look at my leg, gave me no info and left. At this point I've been stuck in a hot room, with no care for 8.5 hours, alarms constantly going off and I couldn't even get a pillow. Once again had to use the bathroom. Hit the call button and no one came. I took the IV out, disconnected from the machines and walked out. They didn't even realize I was gone for over an hour before they called me. You should all be ashamed of the lack of care you're giving to people. This has been the worst experience of my life..

No they cannot you need to go into the ER and check in at the front desk
Go there and speak with one of the volunteers they're always pleasant to talk to.
What are the covid restrictions
D.E.S. Will help with that. Many community outreach programs will help. Try Catholic outreach.
I think that's a normal reaction to a lot of vacations but if it gets worse I'd go back in right away!
Parking is available depending on what side of the hospital you're needing to go to
Window visits only. 30 minutes per visit. 8:00 to 6:00. It's great because you can still see them. Other hospitals don't offer that.
Yes, although on a routine basis, you will need to see a GI doctor to be examined and set up with an appointment.
Tucson Medical Center is a very good hospital. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I give them a 10 rating.
This site is not TMC but is a Google site. You can try to contact TMC but I believe they protect employees from random last name inquiries.
You would need to ask your dr. This is a Google comment site. As such no medical advice can be given. I can tell you that I had a walking cast some years back and only needed a cane for balance. Good luck.
They have several entrances depending on where you want to go. Call the hospital number to ask which entrance is best. Ample parking everywhere with valet parking at 2 sites. Valet is free (tips appreciated). M to F 7:30 to 6:30. You can also go to their web site that has a link to the parking areas.
This is a general question and answer Google site only. Medical questions AND any medical answers must be directed to a licensed healthcare professional. Suggest you contact your surgeon or see a new specialist.
You must call the main hospital number. They guard patient privacy.
Just googled it. Physicians have direct access to Mayo's specialists and programs. Have to love Google, right at our fingertips. Hope this helps.
Yes
The maternity ward doesn't have a snack bar, but the the hospital has the cafeteria, Pepper's, and Higher Grounds.
You can also ask the valay Attendee
Not sure, but you can ask at front desk or ask security thank you
Call them and let them know what you need. They can normally just send them electronically to your Doctor.
