I really realize the job that they have could be stressful and cause them to seem short sometimes. So I always try to remember this all in all I think it's a good place that wants to really help it's clients. Maria she's a special one she's always on top of things whether it's for your papers being filled out correctly by the apartment owners or you doing the things that you need to do to get your apartment. Thank you

They were closed to the public but they had a drop box 📦 where you could put your documents into the Dropbox. Because that what I have to do with my documents. And they won't answer the door. You have to call 📞 them in order to get your questions answered.

I’d love to take a moment & rate my review on this specific housing authority. My experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. Taking into consideration, the short staff bc of the pandemic, the housing crisis, Limited resources & these employees working from home. I commend every single individual that is represented here! You men & women go above & beyond to help families out. City of Phoenix handles cases in a timely manner. I do also take into consideration that I am not the only family in need. I understand there are many families such as myself. However, this housing authority has made it their priority to meet the needs of my family & many others just like myself , who have experienced homelessness. I can not say enough, how incredibly grateful I am. As well as my children. The Lord has a special place in heaven for you guys and gals! Keep up the great work & thank you for all that you do!!

I don't think you're eligible for public housing or section 8 once you have a record of any kind. Especially if it has to do with the sale, distribution or growing of any type of drugs.
If you ask the housing department they will tell you section 8 is closed and not excepting applications but they can give you a list of apartments that are low income & based off your income, & a list of emergency housing, even family shelter's, hope I helped!
They have a complaint form online that you can download and fax our complaint to the office an somebody
How do you know your placement on the list?
Definitely not on Thanksgiving Day, and most likely not on the following Friday. You could check their hours on site, or listen to the recorded information.
You rent is high because your landlord is raising your rent. You need to talk to your landlord.

Yes just go down there and ask them for the list
If your moving from a house and want a house here in phoenix you wont find it. Or it takes your feet on the ground here. To find private owners who no nothing about section 8 or who havent been jaded buy it. But for a house its hard to find in phoenix. Im in a house and the owner is SELLING so we are forced to downsize into a apt we moved from Wi and have never had a apt before. But if your looking for a apt their slim pickings as well. Your better off going to a out lining city like gelndale, peoria, Avondale, suncity the outlining citys and try to stay north arizona the further past camelback road the badder the schools get. Hope you find something. We need more sistas in the city.
I think it depends on what you signed as far as your lease. If it's in your lease than you are responsible but if not than call a lawyer or at least threaten to. And make sure you add the total cost so it scares them into doing the right thing.
Just put in
Well it's August and I have my voucher still and actually moving into a new place at the end of the month. Hope this helps :)
You have to contact your housing authority to send out your relocation papers and they will contact you to come here for your meeting
For some reason the rents are being approved to cut into ppls utility allowances when before that only happened IF the landlord included utilities. Now they dont care if you pay the utilities and no other homes in your area which have your floorplan have MUCH lesser rent (though theyre supposed to compare to those homes and adjust accordingly with making rent the same amount as those homes), theyll still approve rent increases even if you have no income and the money is taken away for your utility allowance. Makes no sense. At least before they followed rules on approvals but now theyre just approving increases regardless of wether your left with utility allowance or not and even if you end up paying out of pocket which used to be a huge no no.
Most likely it would be 1200 if it's just you
You should apply for section 8 voucher program because it very useful 👍 and also it paid majority of your rent and you only need to pay an small amount of your income like 30% or 40% of your income. So when you go 🚶♀️ to the Housing Authority ask for a Section 8 application 🤔. You'll find that you could be better at living comfortably, easily with yourself and your grandson.
Phoenix Section 8 waiting list is closed and has been since 2016. I work at Phoenix Housing Authority. Scottsdale opened their list today (6/1/22 - 6/17/2022). However you must apply then they draw applications lottery style (2200 this go around) and if you're drawn you'll be invited to complete the application process to be placed on the waiting list. You could still be on the list for 5-6 years. It is not easy to get on Section 8. Each city has their own housing authority so you can check Tempe, Mesa, Glendale and others to see if their lists are open.
What's emergency housing? Like the names and numbers of shelters. Because you can get that information from the Internet or you can go there and wait to get the information. If you have the means make what you have better. Buy a fold out couch for your sister's house, and search for a better place. The waiting list is very long and finding a place is just as long.
No they will let u know with in 15 days
Yes
I don't know you have to call their office and ask.
That I don't know. Sorry.
No, unless you are on the program. Call 211. They help with rent, utilities, food, and other resources .
No
U can always go down there and see about picking it up. U can start looking for a place anytime if u go to www.gosection8.com if u know how many bedrooms u are allowed
You can walk in but the girl with the long black hair has a damn attitude all the time.
Yesyou just can't be in depht to them .
Go to the housing department online and see if they are accepting new applications... if not, you have to keep checking back to fond out when they are accepting applications
Depends on what the repair is. If it's normal wear and tear they shouldn't. But if it is damaged caused by the tenant they do. My water heater busted but the owner had to eat the cost for the repairs and damage.
Yes I believe so but after your lease is up
You need to contact housing authority they have a complaint form to fx
Did you ever figure out why? Same this just happened to me
Why do they make it so difficult to actually get the forms in and all the data and proof work in on time? Why is there not a drop slot? Why can I never reach my personal case worker on the phone? The service is terrible here and I am in danger of possibly losing my section 8 voucher because I cannot reach them and have had severe medical problems and am late turning in paperwork help...
Will I am. Really need a cheaper apt. Because I have two therapy dogs I really need a place to call home I'm am already on the list of Arizona housing how long that takes to fine out
