If I could leave 0 stars I would. My husband and I have had 2 poor experiences at the Camillus location. The front office staff need to be trained on sensitivity and racial empathy. The first time we went for my husband’s X-rays, the front staff made it very uncomfortable for my husband, as he was the only person of color at the office. He was also the only person they asked about his ethnicity. No other intake patient was asked that same question. I went to the same location today for x-rays for myself and my husband came with me. They never asked my ethnicity (at the visit my husband went to, they told him they have to ask Every patient their ethnicity). While waiting in the waiting room for me to be called, one of the office workers walked up to us only and asked my husband to leave because he was only driving me and wasn’t being seen. He was also the only person of color in the office. They claimed they asked him to leave because there was not enough space in the office for all of the patients. However we found it odd that they only confronted us about this and did not ask any of the other patients who had their spouses with them at the appointment. Only after they made my husband leave (and he pointed out that he was the only person with dark melanin in the office) did they ask anyone else that was not being xrayed to leave. The staff member got offended by him making that observation known that they were kicking out the only black in the office. She then tried to cover her tracks and asked out loud to the office who else in the waiting room was there with a spouse. There was another white man and a different white woman that raised there hands showing that they were there waiting for their spouse and not for their own appointment. I didn’t feel comfortable getting my X-rays from blatantly racist staff, so I asked for my RX back so I can get my X-rays from a different location.

I have gone here twice recently for two cat scans. The front end staff are very nice.I was lucky enough to have Lori (X-ray technologist and Susan(R.N.) both times .They were professional and very kind. They explained my tests completely . You both are an asset to this facility. I highly recommend this location for any medical imaging.

I have been going here for years for routine mamography. Everyone has been lovely and professional, and what I really appreciate is how fast I get my results! It's usually within an hour or two. Once, I wasn't even home yet when they called. They also have state of the art 3-D imaging for the best images. I have nothing but good things to say about St. Joseph's Imagaing at Medical Center West.

1 star is for the mammographer who did a fine job. 1 star is for the center itself since it's clean and comfortable for patients. No star for the x-ray tech who was obnoxious to me for no reason. No star for the office staff who lack training and give out seriously incorrect info. No star for the (unl)awful billing practices for no-fault insurance patients. The NY Motor Vehicle No-Fault Insurance Law Assignment of Benefits (AOB) form I signed on 6/25/2020 specifically states "The Assignee (St Joseph's Imaging) hereby certifies that they...shall not pursue payment directly from the Assignor (Patricia Whipple) for services provided..." So why did I receive 2 billing statements in February 2021 & on March 20, 2021 from St Joseph's Imaging Associates' debt collection agency, MBMS, in Hamilton, NJ? The info I'm getting from Christina & Kelly at the West Medical Center location is that the AOB form I signed on 6/25/2020 is a "waiver" that they require all no-fault insurance patients to sign to make the patient responsible for payment to St Joseph's Imaging Associates. It is no such thing! It is very clearly a legit NYS No-Fault Insurance Law AOB form. Kelly became very hostile to me in front of other patients simply because I requested my entire medical record for 6/25/2020. Obviously, she was not keen on me digging too deep, but it was still completely unacceptable and abhorrent behavior on her part toward me. I was told to call Cindy in Billing at the North Medical Center location, but why? There should have been no direct billing to me.

Yes. At this time appointments are necessary for everything due to Covid restrictions.

I am considering having my VA doctor redirect her latest request for ultrasound work to your facility to expedite tests in support of my health. How does she communicate with you and should I have a specific fax number or email address.?? John k

St Joseph's Imaging is a great place to have ultrasounds done. The results are sent to your doctor the same day. They are wonderful there. They are very friendly and efficient. I think you would be pleased with them.

If going to St. Joseph's Imaging park in the front of the building. There's also handicap parking if needed in the front. Come in through entrance A (small brick building to the left of the main entrance) go down stairs or elevator. Its the 1st office on the right

Donna Erikson, appointments are not needed for mammograms. However, scheduled patients will be seen before walk-ins.
