This is my second time coming here, & I brought my family. 'LOVE THIS PLACE! Narrated canal boat tours are informative and pleasant. The museum begins with a fascinating general store & leads you through more canal history. The tow path leads to the aqueduct that is spectacular to see. Very knowledgeable & friendly volunteers. This is the area that sparked my interest & love of the Erie Canal. I'm sure it will do the same for you!

Nice section of the old Erie Canal. Really could use more parking

That would be cool, someone should think of that....i was just informed that someone did, but king quomo has decreed it to be dangerous. There is no tours, the museum is open like 2 days a week, pretty sure one of those days is a Wednesday. Upkeep is a joke, a sad causality of a non existent virus. when I say that I mean we have it under control...you can walk the trails or ride a bike. You can canoe or kayak, but the water level is very low so getting into a canoe or kayak will be a challenge. The dock is high above the water and the banks are as well, hope this helps....
Park as long as u like. Trail is combination of pavement and hard pack dirt/cinders.
Yes they have boat tours for erie canal in Camillus
The sleds can beat it up, but they do send groomers through to smooth it out.
