Be Aware!! Made a 24h reservation back in July. At pick up, the Avis employee slipped in a 70$ Fuel Service Option without me noticing (wasn't in my initial reservation). I returned the car with a full tank (as I should) and noticed the ''error'' at drop off. The Avis employee acknowledged it and said he would reimburse no problem (why should I worry!). I'm back home in Canada now and after contacting Avis many many time, I came to the realization that I will never get my money back since Avis Clientele Service refuses to aknowledge the ''error''. Will never rent again from this company.

We picked up our car at the Cape Canaveral location on Friday after our cruise. We returned it the very next morning to the Orlando airport (as our reservation stated). Signs posted stated to "leave the keys in the car." I inquired as to what else we needed to do and was told "nothing. We'll check it in. " We get back and our $117 car rental was charged as $286!!!!! After much back and forth via email, it was "determined" we returned the car late. This would have been impossible as our flight left at 10:51 am on Saturday. I DO NOT recommend Avis and will never use their service again!

The drop off was absolutely fine and we were met with a professional gentleman who dealt with us in a friendly and efficient manner......however, when we picked the car up it was a different matter. We arrived at the office and the only staff member was washing a vehicle.at the back and looked fed up that we were waiting. He asked for the relevant documentation in a cold unfriendly manner and proceeded to print off an invoice. We had already paid for the car hire and noticed there was an additional charge of £78 to be paid. We queried this to be told it's because we are returning the vehicle back 3 hours later the pick up time!!! We had already been quoted for this and paid the cost. We mentioned ot and he became rude and patronising....we wanted to make sure he hadn't added anything else on and he was rushing us to just sign it . I really hope this guy's regular job was washing cars as his customer service skills are non existent. We were warned that Avis may try to add things on and hope you don't notice....but we didn't expect to be treated like an inconvenience too.
