we had such a bad experience from the start. They never did a walk through from the apartment prior from the last person who moved out to us moving in. We were told we would have wooden floors. When the movers came to move us in it was dirty. Also we had old carpets. The flooring was so old that when you put a hot mop bucket it would melt the laminate. They also did a paint job that got paint all over the floors. In the spare room they painted one of the walls half way!! You could see the previous color half way down. We have asked for numerous compensations and they have given us one free house cleaning. ALSO there is a lady that lives below us that numerous neighbors have complained about. We are scared for our safety and our neighbor put a ring camera at the door. We have given footage of her knocking and screaming on doors. She has done this at 4pm, 6pm and 3am. They have not done anything to help the situation or make people feel safe. They also leave the gate doors opened on some of the week days so that the garbage can be taken out. I have seen homeless people in the garage numerous times. One time I had 3 men come up to me and ask me for money on the first level where the mailboxs are located. There is not enough security. I would give this place 0 stars. We will be breaking our lease early because this place is so unsafe and dirty. The management is always a changing. New people are always in the leasing office. There is way better places to rent around for only a couple hundred more. DO NOT RENT HERE

TLDR: units are fine, parking is great, but major and consistent inconveniences If you’re the type of person who doesn’t let preventable issues bother them, then the Riviera will work fine. There’s nothing so bad here that you’d want to leave mid-lease. It’s a quiet area with great walkability and plenty of parking. Now if repetitive problems do bother you, continue reading. 1. TONS of water issues. Our unit had been destroyed from water damage, a hot water heater that would turn itself off (took maintenance multiple visits and 3 months to fix), and leaks across the complex that leads to complete water shut off with about 30min-24 hr warning It’s a constant property issue. 2. Our unit specifically has had reoccurring pest issues. Last summer, we took a week on vacation and upon return had ants. This continued all summer and pest control came out several times. We were advised that the ants lived in a tree near by and could return until the tree was dealt with. It’s now the following summer and after a nice winter, the ants are slowly coming back. They’re easy to kill with bleach, but no one wants to wake up to ants. 3. As people with dogs, we were very glad to find how dog friendly the Riviera is. The dogs park is well attended and we love the nearby trails. However, there is a ton of dog poop not picked up. There are new poop stations set up, but if people let their dogs poop on the sidewalk and in the parking garage I don’t think trash can convenience was a factor.

I stayed here for 5 years. Through the pandemic, lockdown, and the crazy ice storm and my experience was AMAZING! Everytime I expressed an issue with the leasing office they ALWAYS got back to me as soon as possible. The maintenance team?!? AMAZING across the board ! I would literally put in a work order and they would come same day or next day CONSISTENTLY. My neighbors were so nice. I do wish we had more community events but I think it was just due to covid restrictions. The ONLY reason I’m leaving is because my family has expanded and I now need a third bedroom. I’m so sad to leave honestly. Parking was always a breeze. During the ice storm they were ON IT. I had a teeny water spot on the wall and they renewed the whole piping on that wall! I’m definitely recommending people to this property because I had no issues. I honestly can’t complain about a single thing. Thank you Riviera at West Village for being so welcoming and professional at all times.

In terms of finding a unit, signing a lease, and everything move-in, Jaleesa has been absolutely incredible! I have had to call several times with questions/confusion, and she has been so patient, kind, and willing to hang out on the phone until we could get things sorted out! She is definitely making this process so smooth and stress free, and we are so grateful to be working with her!! Thank you Jaleesa!!!
