Halite field trip... Suggest dealers to register early. There might be a limited amount of cars to go into the Halite fields. I'm passing the word from a club member to you, that this might happen sometime in the future.

Lots of fun! Plan to get dirty! This is an awesome experience for very little cost. It’s either $15 or $20 per car (not per person)! Bring tools and start digging. Keep whatever you find. The kids had a blast looking for crystals. You can purchase brine (for cleaning) when you are there for $1. There is no cell signal there so bring walkie talkies if you are going with others.

Usually which is the second week in October can you go on the lake to hunt the minerals. Unfortunately the last two years the lake has been closed to the general public and as far as we know will remain so indefinitely.
