Dear Elizabeth, Thank you for asking us your question! According to the United States Flag Code, the United States flag should be replaced in a dignified manner when it becomes much tattered that it no longer fits to serve as a symbol of the United States. If the flag becomes slightly dirty, but not to the extent of in need of replacement, it is proper etiquette to clean the flag by hand with mild soap and water and let it dry. It is our belief that such care should be done by each individual who owns the flag. However, if the individual is disabled or impaired such that he or she is unable to properly clean the flag, we will gladly clean the flag for him or her with respect. Sincerely, City Dry Cleaners
