Great whale watching experience, clean fresh sandy beaches.

This is a simply outstanding area! It's not just South Cape Beach it's also a gorgeous nature preserve. There are amazing beaches that are not commercialized throughout this area. 🏖️ 🦢🦆🐚👍 It's peaceful, well kept and is a beautiful beaches attached to a nature preserve filled with various Birds. Whether you're interested in watching any of the seabirds or water birds, it's very entertaining. I included watching a bird trying to eat a snake. I truly wish I could have gotten better photos. There are also photos of a large nest and all the babies eating from the mom. As I was walking onto the beach I saw a beautiful little area with shells made by some local children. It was so sweet. It really is a great place to walk around. It's a minimal beachfront & quiet beach too. I could not be happier spending my time here. No matter what I need I have it. There are restrooms, you see lots of different people enjoying the surroundings with lots of fishermen and families apart of this. If you have found my review helpful please give me a thumbs up 👍 and feel free to follow me for future reviews.

Went here for a night walk, which I’m not even sure is actually allowed, but even at night this beach is fantastic. When the tide isn’t drastically high the slope isn’t too bad and the dry area is fairly wide so you have a good bit to choose from. You can easily see Martha’s Vineyard from the shore and the water is balmy.

A very nice warm water south facing beach with a nice view of Martha's Vineyard. Very family oriented and very friendly atmosphere. A great place to bring your kids or your grandchildren!

No fishing during daytime operational hours. You have to walk way off the sides off of the beach.
You can't but them in there.up the road you can
You can also use a DCR parking pass there. In 2020 they are collecting parking and checking passes.
With a permit you can on the National seashore...
Yes they do
No, but you can camp at Shawme Crowel State Park in Sandwich. It has over 285 camp sites. It used to be that your camp site permit would get you into any of the Cape state beaches for free...but I don't know if this is still the case!
For resident its free, non-resident its 20$ per day i think. You have to pay at the kiosk.
I think they have a wheelchair path to the beach at the east end to the parking lot. Best to call town hall for the best answer.
Only in the offseason - most Cape Beaches are that way. No dogs allowed from Memorial Day to Labor Day, depending on the beach.
