DO NOT PAY AUTOMATED red light tickets . They lie on the ticket saying your licence can get suspended if you don't pay . if you do some research on Google they can't do that any more(new law passed ) , they just say so on the ticket to scare you . lazy department

wheeling cops are literally out here on Dundee and 83 trying to ticket people without seat belts on and ticketed my husband for taking his belt off for one second to bend down. this is what they are using tax payer dollars towards: staffing cops to ticket us. please find something better to do with your time than ticket people who are already struggling financially. what an absolute joke of a department and completely tone deaf to the world we live in.

They are the least helpful and absolutely useless police department in the nation. I believe all the money I paid for tax is going to waste.

Today at around 8AM my vehicle stalled and died on me on the intersections of Dundee Rd & Northgate Parkway. An Officer pulled over behind me and asked if there was a problem or if there was a reason why I pulled over the side of the road. I told the officer that my car died and that I was on my way to get my alternador replaced. The officer was very polite and offered to call a tow truck so I could get my car fixed. That officer was Officer Messina. Officer Messina also gave another option which I've never heard off before, he offered to push my vehicle with his squad car so I could get out of the side of the road. That option worked wonderfully and I was able to get out of the side of the road thanks to Officer Messina. Officer Messina went above and beyond to help a citizen of the Village of Wheeling. We need more Officers in the U.S and sorrounding areas like Officer Messina.
