Took in a set of old motorcycle cylinders and pistons to get inspected an honed. I was told that they needed to be bored out to oversize since the cylinders were out of round. I was not given any measurements/data. The correct oversize pistons were provided, but it seems like they were not used for measuring piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance. After 200 miles on the rebuilt engine, I had piston skirt and cylinder wall scuffing, and may have run the risk of seizing the engine. I had to take apart the top end and send it to a vintage motorcycle specialist to do the job right.
