This review serves serves as an online petition to have dr kalmar ER Dr. Terminated from his post as an ER DR. at Hines V.A Never in my lifetime have I ever encountered a doctor so extremely unprofessional lacking of compassion empathy & remorse treating patients unhumanely , moreover Dr Kalmar lacks any redeemable qualities that any quality medical professional should have. The thought of any of my battle brothers and sisters having to deal with such a low quality man is unbearable. In fact DR. Kalmar thinks so highly of himself he made it a point to tell me repeatedly that "I'm on his time" And made it a point to threaten me with the Hines VA police several times. After threatening me with the Hines VA police several times I decided it was best for me too take my leave as this whole ordeal had already caused me to be late to pick up my minor child whom I have sole custody of at this time doctor Kalmar informed me that he was recording our conversation on his personal device which is the violation of HIPAA law as I never gave my consent to be recorded. In addition to the aforementioned as medical professional you're there to be a servant to the people to men and women that have served this country veterans that have signed a blank check payable up into their lives, to be degraded belittled and talk down to as if there is 2nd class citizen by someone who holds the title of "doctor" that is supposed to provide quality care is inconceivable. On September 23rd 2022 Dr. Agnew performed ortho hand surgery removal of plates screws and other hardware on my right hand due to the extensive nature of the surgery I was injected with nerve blockers in my neck which now has severe bruising and a golf ball size knot in my armpit I was also given anesthesia. Upon my discharge I was only given 5 norco 5 mg by (Bianca A. Dichiaro) & told to come back for follow up in 2 weeks over the weekend my pinky and ring finger swelled to the size of my thumb and turned purple which led me to my ER visit today. I put in a message over the my healthy vet system over the weekend and my message was not returned until Monday September 26, 2022 I was instructed by a representative from the Hines VA orthohand clinic to come to the Hines ER and request my surgeon Dr. Agnew to be paged as they would look at the swelling on my hand neck and armpit and give me much needed pain medication. After this whole ordeal no pain medication was given. Complaints will be filed with the patient advocate the Better Business Bureau as well as the State medical board. United We Stand we do have a voice brothers and sisters it's time over voice is heard.

Went to the VA asking for help with homelessness. The transitional facility turned me away because "As a disabled veteran I was making more money than their techs working in the homeless facility." So they were jealous and sent me away from the homeless shelter just because I made more money than their employees at the shelter. So instead of staying in a homeless shelter and saving my VA disability to purchase a house, I instead get to spend my VA disability on paying for hotels since I have no other place to live. Your tax dollars at work! Paying for America's hotels instead of paying for something worthwhile! Really smart. Really smart! I've never thought of myself as being smart but these people make me feel like a freaking genius. "You're not r3tarded!!!!" ----a homeless shelter employee said to me in another city/state

As I was scheduled for a fatty hernia the staff showed concern and professionalism throughout from start to finish. Doctors and staff made my stay comfortable considering the circumstances. The discomfort of the surgery was minimal. My send my gratitude.

WRONG PLACE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT HINES VA HOSPITALS CHANNEL LINE UP BUT I DO AGREE WITH YOU !!! TRY WRITING A LETTER TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE HOSPITAL . YOU NEVER KNOW. SOMETHING MIGHT JUST BE CHANGED !?
I'm sure, they have been awake for me :)
Report to the front desk in building 200. Tell them that you want to volunteer. You must wear a mask and they will take your temperature once you enter the building!
I would bet there is. Give them a call it's worth the gamble. The stakes are high but the odds are in your favor 😂... But seriously... If you put in a call to their mental health intake center they should be able to point you in the right direction.
Sir, this is a hospital.

They sure can! They serve women veterans just as well as the men. They also have services and clinics that specialize in women's needs.
THE LAB IS ALWAYS OPEN BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN ORDER FOR A BLOOD DRAW ...

Your best bet is to get an eBenefits account and send a secure message to the specific doctor. Your Primary Care Physician should manage all of your meds. Call him and speak to him or her.

Michael your taking up an open phone line when it could be used to save a veterans life is a waste. Just be patient and leave those lines open.
