There office is so gross and smells. They make you wait hours without an update and make you wait even when you have an appointment. I will never go here again!

I set an appointment for replacement of the windshield of my Toyota RAV4 at the Plano TX Safelite shop one week in advance of the actual appointment. When I arrived for the appointment, I learned that the time to fix the windshield would be two hours in addition to a one-hour delay in the start of the repair. Three hours to wait for my car seemed excessive so I went home and called a competitor. The competitor came to my house the following morning at the agreed-upon time, completed the windshield replacement in less than one hour and charged less. My experience with Safelite did not match Safelite's ubiquitous commercials.

The repair will not be free. Insurance may cover it though. Also keep in mind that there will be a scar where the repair is. The repair is to fix the integrity of the window and make sure the crack doesn't spread.
It took a couple hours for them to do mine. It takes longer if you have a lane departure assist feature on your vehicle because they have to recalibrate it after they replace the windshield
The receptionist states, "Yes, we can help with that! We just need to get the part(s) ordered ahead of time."
