Update (10/06/22) - After nearly ten attempts and a month later, the Pt Advocate finally returned my phone call to inform that none of the three grievances I wrote made it to him and that the hospital will not be responsible for my lost belongings despite it being known that a pt was stealing others' belongings. What a joke. A glaring many of the staff members were insensitive and unprofessional. Their body language, tone, and word choice were, at times, aggressive and inappropriate. I was told by a technician, “It’s not my job to care.” A nurse stated to me, “Just because you’re autistic doesn’t mean you need to be treated like a baby.” A patient was physically aggressive towards me and removed items from my room on numerous occasions. The staff advised I place my belongings under my mattress. Upon discharge, the two books I arrived with were not returned to my possession. I have made three attempts to contact the Patient Ambassador, each time without a response. I have filed grievances, also without being given an update on the status of said grievances. The staff is clearly overworked in an environment not equipped to meet the needs of the patient population. There are good intentions behind the programming at this facility, but the intended execution is not in practice on Unit 3-T, mostly for the above-mentioned details. There were some really great staff members, especially Katy, RN, Angela, RN, Lisa, RN, Shani, BHT, Ed, BHT, Olivia, BHT, Beverly, BHT, Nicole, BHT, and Kennedy, BHT. I would like to thank those that treated me with respect and dignity. As for those that did not, it appears I will have to make three more attempts to reach the Patient Ambassador before my call is returned. If you have a choice in where you are placed, I would advise this be one of your last resorts.

Haven housed my brother for a month. They gave him the wrong medication before he got out and he had a mental break down within a week of him leaving. They do not have a genuine understanding of how to help people. He has been there 3 times and after each time he quickly spiraled into an unstable mental state.

I was here in 2018 and really think highly of the staff and the food was good and the groups were good thanks for helping me!

My son is currently admitted at this hospital. He been there since Friday after 4pm. Yesterday was when we finally got some information on what is going with our son. I don’t understand why a person that apparently is suffering and severe depression has to be together with other patients that had different problems or need more mental help than our son. Some nurses are there because of the pay check and not to help our patients. I was talking to a nurse and she was kind of mean because she was saying to us in our face that she don’t understand why they said that they hear voices and that she feel they are lying and that they are crazy. This was last Sunday around 2pm. On Saturday of las week I was visiting my son and I experienced a nurse in step of trying to avoid a confrontation with another patient she stand right in front of the patient and honestly I said, here we go why she do that she don’t understand that they had their problems and she need to act more professional. It was scary. They just give them pills to put them to sleep just to not deal with the person or patient. Me and my wife are really disappointed with this hospital. We don’t feel safe having our son in here.

You 1st have to figure out what Unit He was on. There's 4 different units, all with their own Nurses station. Nurses will be able to help with the Meds questions, not the Social Workers. But the social workers can talk You through their treatment if necessary. Good Luck Leica
So true from what I am seeing right now with loved One response to Kenneth Boyer
This is an Inpatient Psychiatric Facility. If you are having a psychiatric emergency, you should call 911.
