My mother was really struggling with back pain, she was requiring increasing amounts of help at home and was in and out of the hospital. She went to spruce manor in search of help. Darius the nurse practitioner went out of his way to get her scheduled for an out patient procedure. The therapists were patient and took the time to explain to her what was going on with her back and to give her exercises and stretches that she could do on her own and even after discharge. The nurses on the floor were very proactive and worked with us on non-pharmocological interventions and helped get her completely off the narcotics. The CNAs offered care and assistance, but more importantly listened with empathy and helped to manage her anxiety. My mom was able to leave after a few weeks and has now been back home, living alone and doing great for about 6 months without another hospital stay. Thank you to all the staff for providing individualized caring!
