RN Linda did my admission for my procedure on Monday. She was amazing! I ask a lot of questions for both knowledge and anxiety purposes, and she was very patient and incredibly friendly. (Bonus points: she did the best IV port I’ve ever gotten.. no bruise or tenderness even immediately after) The next day follow up phone call was appreciated, and I like the fact it gave me the chance to reply via text instead when I missed the call. One thing I think needs better communication for prep and with front desk staff: women will have to take a urine test to medically prove they are not pregnant. I was not informed of this and asked to use the restroom before going back and no one mentioned it then either. I wasn’t allowed to drink any liquids prior to the procedure, so it was incredibly hard for me to do the urine test after I already went.
