We're very disappointed with Dr. Zeiger. He failed to communicate any of the teletherapy sessions he had with our child. We were never asked to talk with him nor did he ever attempt to include us. He had the audacity to unprofessionally state in an email we were not involved parents because we were not always present for his sessions as we are working parents, and he was being supervised by a grandparent, which this was known beforehand. Dr. Zeiger was charging us for sessions that he often would cut short, and when this was addressed he got very defensive, and blamed my child for the reason noting he was not engaged during teletherapy. Mind you my child is ten, and Dr. Zeiger is the adult licensed psychologist. My child stated that he often could barely even see Dr. Zeiger because he wouldn't allow his entire face on the camera and/or Dr. Zeiger didn't realize how to use the camera. He would respond to my child with very simple statements making my child feel as though Dr. Zeiger was uninterested in their conversation. Never did he come with these concerns to my husband or I. The last straw was when I tried to cancel an appointment using his patient portal, but was unable. I tried to call, and no answer. So I emailed, upon which he charged me $175 stating it was past the 24 hour window. We then asked to keep the appointment, and in an email Dr. Zeiger agreed. In his reply was when he attacked our parenting, and when I replied to that email that I thought how he acted was unprofessional, and unkind; he then stated he would not see my child. (hence Dr. Zeiger canceling the appointment) When asked to refund the $175 dollars, Dr. Zeiger refused. He claims he has the right to charge us since he has a cancelation policy; however, we have an email correspondence where we were to keep our appointment, and not cancel. Please do not use Dr. Zeiger. He was not the right fit for our family, which that happens, but his business practices during a pandemic are just not professional.
