***STAY AWAY** STAY AWAY**** This occurred at the Eastern Location My mother a long time customer of La Paloma Tax was kicked out and called slurs by the "owner" Julie/Judy 2/21/22. My mother who in her own right was upset her usual tax person was no longer available due to legal issues apparently was serviced by the owner who was not at all friendly or welcoming. She then was upset with the small refund first quoted suggested to my father to leave. She then told her in words to mind her own business and called her names. She then told her she could do and say whatever she wanted because it was her business and kicked her out but welcomed my father to return. When I called to speak with her the next day she referred me to her legal counsel David (her husband) and was told he'd advise her not to say slurs to her customers. In my mind this is common sense. He can't control someone else but he can only advise. Apparently there is no law against calling people names but i think it's called DEFEMATION. He then proceeded to advise (his favorite word) he has enough issues with the corner the store is on with crackheads coming into the store. I'm sure they're business is in OUR crack head community for a reason. At the end of the day a business can refuse service without calling people derogatory names. This behavior is unacceptable from anyone let alone a BUSINESS OWNER. I will be sharing this experience and I hope the community makes its own opinions and does not do business with them. Then my mom got upset with the small refund that was quoted and told my dad to go away. Julie/JudyThen told her not to spoil the conversation and called her bitter and kicked her out of the place. But he welcomed my father back. When I called to speak with her the next day, she referred me and said to speak to her legal counsel, David (her husband), and was told that he would advise her not to insult her clients. In my opinion, this is common sense. He then proceeded to report that he has enough trouble with the corner the store is on with crackheads coming into the store. I'm sure your business is in our junkie community for a $$$$$ reason. At the end of the day, a business can refuse service without calling people derogatory names. Do not go with this business, no one deserves this type of treatment from anyone except someone who has a business in our community
