What was the original purpose of the building at 2023 S Glenstone (the International Wine Center)? Was it ever a bowling alley or roller skating rink?

History Museum on the Square | Oct 10, 2021

Yes is the answer to both. It was called the Star Bowling Alley and then it was made into the Star Roller RInk. For several years it was a toy store. Thanks for reaching out. Hope you can visit the museum soon!

Is this a fun place for children?

History Museum on the Square | Oct 10, 2021

Ladonna, Thank you for asking. We have many interactives that both adults and children can enjoy and most of our exhibit spaces have videos that share stories or Springfield. I would say 3rd grade and older would get the most out of the space. We are currently open Wednesday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm. We look forward to seeing you.

Do you have any photos of Evan's. Drug store Thanks
