The concept is great, the community is nice, you can learn a lot, but often members don't take care of tools/equipment/workspaces which can cause more pain than it's worth. If you want to DO something, bring your own tools. If you want to learn, then this place is awesome.

I have not yet certified on metals, but I am wondering if the small metals office hours would be a time I could come in and Mig weld some small angle-iron? I do weld, but my own welder is on the fritz.

Hey Kenneth, thanks for reaching out. You'd want to go to a Hot Metals office hours for MIG welding. We're a membership organization with monthly dues so you'll have to go through our signup process to get access to the equipment. The best time to do this on Tuesdays at 8pm.
