We’ve been going to Dr. Dixon for over 8 years. Not sure how i have failed to write a review. He’s always been thorough, encouraging, understanding, and pushing for my son to improve. Med adjustments, behavior modification, etc. he’s been our rock. We are thankful for him & his practice.

We have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Dixon all the way back to 2015. He has literally changed our lives. Our son looks forward to seeing him each and every time and Dr. Dixon is by far his favorite doctor. Yes, it’s expensive because he doesn’t take insurance, but for us it’s worth every single penny. Dr. Dixon is warm and welcoming, supportive and challenging, and most importantly respectful of the child/parent dynamic. I’ve recommended Dr. Dixon to dozens of people and everyone I know who knows him absolutely loves him. The children of Fort Worth who have ADD/ADHD are lucky to have Progressive Psychiatry. Before Dr. Dixon started his own practice it was nearly impossible to find a psychiatrist that was accepting new patients. His practice has attracted the talent necessary to help the children and adults with ADHD across North Texas. Thank you, Dr. Dixon!

If I could give no stars, I would. I was a patient of Dr.Dixon, and while at first I found him to be welcoming and easy to talk to, I now know his true colors. He told me- someone who has now been DIAGNOSED with BPD (Borderline personality disorder) and was open about having other friends and family with BPD- that people with BPD are “insufferable” and there is “no hope for them.” He told me AND mother (i was only 16 at the time!) that he refuses patients with BPD because he doesn’t like them. I’m no doctor, but that doesn’t seem professional at all to me. And for $50 a session (and that’s WITH my insurance)! Not worth the money or the 1 & 1/2 hour drive I took every week to get there. I’d never recommend Dr.Dixon’s practice. I think he really just cares about the money and dissecting people, not helping people.
