Not worth the time to even drop by. Explained the exact issue wrong after taking my tool apart and they wouldn’t even check to see if it would be covered or how much it might cost, just said I had to bring it in. They barely glanced at it and just checked their “bulletin” for warranty just to tell me it wasn’t covered and wanted half the tool value to repair a severed wire that was poorly soldered and got hot and severed. This is all something they could have done over the phone in 3 minutes but instead wasted my time and fuel to bring it in. Go through dewalt first to check warranty. These guys are a waste of time

Huge number of tools available. Store is very good but I might switch to Ridgid because they have a lifetime guarantee. DeWalt are nice but expensive to repair.

Send it to the dewalt service center. I've taken several tools to them which were under warranty. They either repaired or replaced.
Take the unit into the service center to have a repair estimate done. There are several different types of problems which may be the cause, and costs vary depending on which one.
That happens. Sometimes something sits on a shelf for a while before it's bought and you'll have a hard time convincing them without a receipt. But I'd take it into the factory service store and just talk to them. They are a pretty good group of people to work with.
