Just go- You won't regret it! The hike to the waterfall is stroller friendly until the last 100 ft or so and only took us maybe 10-15 minutes to get there from the parking lot. My kids also enjoy the swimming beach! It never feels crowded here and is always super clean! The staff is super friendly and was able to answer all my questions both in person and when I called.

I love that it is a no wake lake. It is clean and a nice place to bring your family. What I do not like is that there aren't areas around the lake to doc the kayak and have lunch. Otherwise, I really like this lake. The wildlife is plentiful, the sunsets are pretty, and the bonus is that all the employees are so nice and easy to work with

Visited to check out the waterfall. Wasn't far to get to from parking lot. Lake is pretty with plenty of space around it for multiple campers & they bring in sand for a little beach on one side at the entry. Rod was very kind, helpful & informative while we were there.

Just 24 minutes from my house. The walking trails were fun, even better on bikes I'm sure. Swimming beach was fun to get our feet wet and kids played in the sand. Season passes are very affordable so we upgraded and can come back anytime this year. Friendly staff and we even got to see one of the bald Eagle pair that's been coming there to mate every winter for ten years!

Yes, that is correct. The Beaches are being expanded during the off season.
Yes, there are two private shower rooms located in the same building as the permit office.
Yes, but harmless and scared of people. I have seen Northern Water Snakes there.
Yes you need a licence because it's not public, it's owned by the local government.
At this time there are no kayak rentals available. That is something that may be added soon as well as rental mountain bikes so check back in a few weeks.
Yes, Electric sites 1 through 6 are available for tent camping. Santa Fe Lake does not have water at any of the electric campsites.
The office will show you on a map when you purchase your permit.
Yes. Although I would call first for times office and gate is open for public access.
It is cleared. Did not check the falls...but the campgrounds were in good shape. Minus a few trees unfortunately.
