So quick question, I know that the lake is owned by the City of Augusta which technically makes it public. Is a fishing license required while fishing here or no? Thanks in advance, Derek.

Yes you need a licence because it's not public, it's owned by the local government.

A state fishing license and a Santa Fe Lake daily or annual permit are required. Channel Cat and Bass are catch and release. There is a 10 crappie per day limit. They have not started to spawn yet as of 4/25/19.

Yes it is a state lake but you do need a license and you have to put back the fish's
